What is a United Kingdom UK ETA?

A UK ETA is an electronic travel authorisation that allows eligible travellers to travel to the United Kingdom, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man for qualifying visits. Eligibility depends on nationality, existing UK status, travel purpose and itinerary. A valid ETA allows travel to seek entry, with admission assessed at the border.
